Finished book review by: Imani

Book written by: Mal Peet
Total number of pages: 262

Genre: Realistic fiction
My rating: ****, really liked it

A brief summary of my book:
This book is a thrilling and captivating adventure, where the best sports reporter in South America, Paul Faustino, investigates the disappearance of a spectacular teenager soccer player, El Brujito. A mixture of thrilling, intense and adventurous events take place throughout the book and the author does a spectacular job of storytelling.

What I thought about this book:
I really enjoyed this book because it added an adventurous and different side to how people see the game of football. This is a mixture of thriller, adventure and allows us to see that most soccer players have superstitions too.
