The Catcher In The Rye: my review

Finished book review by: Ben

Book written by: J.D. Salinger
Total number of pages: 214

Genre: Realistic fiction
My rating: ****, really liked it

A brief summary of my book:
The Catcher In The Rye is narrated by the protagonist Holden Caulfield. The story is set in winter of the 1950’s, right after classes ended for winter break. Holden is faced with many insecurities and problems and needs to learn to not hide from it.

What I thought about this book:
It was very hooking after the beginning which is why I rated it so high but the beginning was very slow and boring. The book I would have ranked 5 stars if it didn’t have such a slow beginning to it so I dropped it to 4 stars.
