A brief summary of my book:
A middle-aged man visits his childhood home because he is attending a funeral nearby. While there, he rediscovers his childhood and the story of a forgotten friend who had protected him from danger. While he recollects his long-forgotten memories, we are told the story of his childhood–one that is full of danger and mystery.
What I thought about this book:
I found the book to be written very well and I enjoyed the personality of the child, but I found the adult character difficult to relate to as he goes through life troubles that I have not experienced as a teenager. In addition, I do not care for the ending of the book, that while written eloquently, was not satisfying plot-wise.
